The Roncalli Academic Awards Program was initiated in 1992 to recognize academic efforts and achievement beyond the classroom and is generously funded by the Roncalli Parent Organization.
To earn points toward an Academic Award, a student must earn a minimum of 100 points. All points must be approved by the Academic Awards Coordinator.

Points which are automatically granted; no application required. | ||
Will receive one of the three: All A+, A, or A- grades for the semester | 25 points | |
Will receive one of the three: First Honors for the semester | 20 points | |
Will receive one of the three: Second Honors for the semester | 15 points | |
Student of the Month | 5 points | |
RHS scholarships (e.g. Perkins, Eckstein, Lynch, Clark, Leadership) | 5 points | |
Perfect score on a section of the ACT or SAT | 10 points | |
Valedictorian | 25 points | |
Salutatorian | 15 points | |
Category 2 | ||
RHS academic competitions (50 points per academic year maximum) | ||
Participation in a qualifying academic competition | 5 points | |
Additional points for earning award-level recognition | 10 points | |
Category 3 | ||
Academic enrichment, leadership development and academic summer experiences | 5 points | |

Academic recognition or awards from outside sources | 5 points | |

RHS academic club membership, meeting an average of 2x per quarter outside of school | 5 points |
