I know I'm just being super neurotic but did yours come through in the morning or afternoon? I just want to mentally prepare myself.

you are incorrect. goes to show, you never know what someone is going through.IS post-II R for Milwaukee campus. Really wish I could still be considered at one of the regional campuses
Does this school accept pre-II updates? Yes, you can upload a file to the portal, if im not mistaken.IS post-II R for Milwaukee campus. Really wish I could still be considered at one of the regional campuses

stats and casper, if you don't mind me asking?Yes, and I highly recommend it if you're really interested in MCW. I submitted a pre-II letter of interest and they sent me an II a week later. Good luck!

I always thought something like this was not seen positively until post interview, but I guess it depends on the school. Did you just formulate a letter of interest and upload it to the portal? MCW is my top rn and did not know if I should do this.

I believe the power of a letter of interest is greatest when 1. you have been waitlisted or 2. when its been a long time since you submitted secondaries, and people are getting II's but you have not. Reason #2 is why I submitted. If it's your top school, you want them to know you're interested!
Yup, portal submission.
Reactions: 1 userIf I was recently involved in a research project that was presented at a conference, but my name was not the official program, is this worth an update letter? Might be the wrong thread but I'm particularly interested in this school any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you for your continued interest in MCW Medical School! We are emailing today with a brief update prior to the winter holidays.
Our office continues to review applications and extend invitations to interview; however, we will be taking a short break from hosting interview days beginning in Mid-December until early January.
If you are selected for an interview invitation, you will receive communication via email. If you are not selected for an interview, you will receive a notification of that no later than when all interview days are complete. We do not utilize “silent rejections.” Unfortunately, we cannot provide any individualized status updates, nor can we share where your application may be within the review process or your likelihood of receiving an interview invitation. This email serves as confirmation that your application is still under review.
We recommend uploading any updates or additional documents directly to your secondary application portal. This can be done using the “Document Upload” section. Portal uploads will be reviewed with the rest of your application materials when applicable.
As medical schools have extended offers of admission this fall, we know that some applicants may have already committed to other plans. If you’re no longer interested in MCW, please withdraw your application using the “Status” section of your secondary application portal. Doing so greatly helps the Admissions Committee focus their efforts toward considering applicants who are eagerly awaiting an interview invitation.
Due to the upcoming holidays, our office has limited staffing next week, the second half of December, and the first week of January. We will do our best to respond to you promptly via email. Thank you in advance for your patience during this time, and please contact our office with any questions.
