Transfer Checklist Items

You can find a list of possible transfer checklist items below. To know which are required for you, please visit the checklist section of your Admitted Student Portal.

College/University Transcript

Official transcripts from all colleges and universities are required by July 1, 2024, even if you have summer 2024 courses in progress. If you complete coursework in the summer 2024 term you must submit an updated official transcript with your final summer grades by September 15, 2024. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have summer 2024 enrollment at any college or university not originally listed in your application.

High School Transcript

New transfer students are not required to submit official high school transcripts, unless otherwise stated. However, some courses taken during high school can be used to fulfill UCI general education requirements (e.g., Language other than English, American History and Institutions). If you would like to use your high school record to receive credit for these requirements you must submit the official transcript through the vendors listed above.

Test Scores

All AP, IB, or A level exams with passing scores must be submitted to UC Irvine. Archived AP Exams If your most recent AP exam was over four years ago, your AP scores have been archived by CollegeBoard and may take longer to be sent to UC Irvine. Make sure to request your archived scores as soon as possible to ensure that we receive them by the July 15th deadline.

IGETC

IGETC certifications are not required by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. However, if you have fully or partially completed IGETC and would like to use it to satisfy UC Irvine general education requirements, your school administration or counselor can submit the official certification through the vendors listed above.

Official Documents Processing

Upon receipt of your documents, your official transcripts will be compared to your self-reported grades and exam scores on your UC application. Discrepancies and deficient grades may result in your offer of admission being withdrawn, even if UC Irvine classes have already started. Please refer to your provisional contract and/or conditions as listed in your portal.

Sending Transcripts

Postal Mail:

If your school has sent an official transcript electronically, there is no need to send a physical document by mail. If your school is unable to send an electronic transcript, we will accept postal mail to the address below.

Note: Official documents sent through mail take longer to reflect as received on your portal. We highly recommend using a mailing service with a tracking number, so you can follow delivery of your materials.

Please send all official documents to the following address:

University of California Irvine
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
Attn: Official Documents
260 Aldrich Hall
Irvine, CA 92697-1075

For help regarding sending documents through the methods listed above, please contact your Admissions counselor.
